This guitar is in excellent collectible condition. All I did was wipe it off before taking pictures. Everything is original. Pickup output: Bridge 13.15k, neck 12.85k. Bone nut and brass saddles give this guitar a slightly different timbre and tone. It also has a factory installed phase shift switch that produces that awesome out of phase sound to your leads. The effect is more pronounced as you equalize the volumes. No surface "usage scratching" on the top, sides, back, neck or pickguard.
The last picture is a screen shot from a reliable serial number search. It shows that this guitar was made in Japan not Korea. (The gold sticker on the headstock says Korea.) I have a Sigma acoustic I bought new in 1982 that had a 'Korea' gold sticker on it, but it turns out to have been made by Tokai Japan.
Moridaria Guitars.
Founded in 1967 by Toshio "Mori" Moridaira, the Moridaira factory produced high-quality guitars, including the infamous Morris badged guitar. Moridaira also produced badged guitars for Hohner including Coronado, Futurama, H.S. Anderson,
Lotus (some)
and Sakai. (Spinditty.com). Supporting evidence for the serial search.
The pictures tell the story on the condition of this one. Please use the zoom function to examine the pictures as they are an integral part of the description. I realize that "no usage scratching" is a bold claim for a 45 year old guitar but I stand by it with a 7 day, unconditional, return policy on nearly all of my guitars.
Highlights:
One piece maple body
Carved Maple top
Cream binding on the top, fret board and headstock
Classic bolt-on neck construction with micro-adjuster accessed through the neck plate.
Cream, 1 ply pick guard
22 medium frets
24.75 scale length
'D' shaped neck profile
MoP trapezoid markers
Bone nut
Brass saddles
Tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece
2 cream humbuckers with 3 point height adjustment
phase shift switch
Weight: 9.7lbs
