    Description

    1/6 plate tintype of a Union Soldier in front of an ornate backdrop.
    He has a dagger and
    pistol
    holster on his belt, a black feather plume on the left side of his Hardee hat and a small sash on the right.
    Opinion is Western, perhaps Illinois.
    The photographer's backdrop might help narrow this down.
    The tin is in perfect shape, no bends or corrosion, the focus is sharp and the tones are as seen in my photos.
    Housed in a full leatherette case with an intact, but fragile spine.
