Antique 2 1/2" Bisque Procelain Fairing Figure of Border Collie/Bull Terrier Dog

Description

This great late 19th c. slip cast bisque figurine of a was probably made in the US but might be German.  It was made to be a prize offered at a fair.  I am not certain of the breed of the dog but it might be a border collie or bull terrier.  It is 2 1/2" tall x 1 3/4" wide x 1" deep.  I believe it dates to c. 1895.  The dog is hand painted and is yellowish in color with black ears, tail and muzzle.  it is in great undamaged condition.
