    Description

The autograph of Bebop giant Charlie Parker. The signature, in pencil, is on a 5″ x 47 5/8″ page torn from a lined paper book (the tear is along the left edge, far from the signature and easily matted out when framing).  Parker died in 1955 and his autograph is probably the most sought after of all jazz musicians.
We obtained this autograph from Norman Saks, the foremost Charlie Parker collector in the world.  It is pictured (cropped) on page 24 in the book  “Charlie Parker & Jazz Club Memorabilia: The Norman R. Saks Collection” by Ken Vale.
With Norman Saks’ signed letter of authenticity, and Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.  A beautiful example of Parker’s autograph.
