    THIS IS SO UNUSUAL!
    I thought it was a car parking stake.
    However, some great person on Ebay told me what it is.
    It is a GRAVE Marker from the Grand Army of the Republic. GAR is a Veterans Association.
    I belive it to be from the Abraham Lincoln Post 11 in Charlestown, MA which was organized in 1868 and is still an active Veterans Association.
    The grave marker is such:
    IT ALL CAST IRON AND MEASURES 15" long x 7" wide.
    IT WEIGHS OVER 1-1/2 LBS.
    AT THE TOP IT IS A STAR WITH A TRE-FOIL AT EACH POINT OF THE STAR.
    INSIDE THE STAR IS WRITTEN "POST 11".
    JUST BELOW THAT IS THE WRITTEN "CAR" WITH 2 STARS BELOW THAT.
    THE BACK HAS PLACE FOR A FLAG.
    IT IS A STAKE WITH A POINTED EDGE AT THE BOTTOM AND A CURLY-QUE IN THE MIDDLE SO IT WOULD NOT SINK DOWN INTO THE GROUND.
    IT IS SOLD AS A COLLECTOR'S ITEM...A VERY EARLY PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY.
