    you are bidding on a civil war south carolina button with the palmetto tree face   dug at the battle of Fredericksburg Virginia found in 1950s during road work on caroline st. in down town Fredericksburg it is complete with back and shank it has a back mark but my eyes are not so good to make it out. just a nice example from the famous battle.
