    Description

Here's a very nice, very clean musket butt plate dug on private land around the battle of Ox Hill, fought on day two of the 2nd Battle of Manassas. It's as close to perfect condition as you'll find, coming out of the ground. This is likely from a Confederate flintlock musket, as many were still being used early in the war. Even on the Union side, some men in Berdan's Sharpshooter's refused to use anything else, preferring the musket they brought from home. A very nice addition to your relic collection. Plmk if I can provide any further info or photos. I am happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases whenever possible, as long as you wait for me to invoice you. Thanks for looking, and stay safe.
