Description
Time to let her get the playing time she deserves. Up for sale: 1976 Gretsch Country Club (model 7576). 70’s Gretsches get a bad name but this is a solid build. I know this is subjective but plays fantastic. In the 10+ years I owned it, It’s never broken a string. I’ve compared every guitar to this one during that time. She is always automatic in feel and tone. She just doesn’t get played too much anymore. No binding rot. One section of the binding is slightly worn down from rubbing against a leather strap. 3 ply Maple top and back, 7 ply Maple sides Veneer, open F holes. Original W. Germany Schaller tuners. Original Blacktop Filtertrons pickups. The covers were changed to relic’d Filtertron covers but the originals will included. The neck is set. I would say the neck is less vintage as compared to my other vintage Gretsches. Less baseball batty. It’s comfortable and smooth. The original bridge is included but it was just ok. I replaced it with a brass TruArc bridge with the correct radius. The TruArc is not pinned to the top. 12 gauge Flatwounds have held it in place very well. The Bigsby B6 was added and the tuning is super stable. Burns Box trussrod. Pickguard is smoky clear acrylic. Pickup selector, Volume and Tone for each pickup. Master Volume. Knobs have been replaced with Gretsch Arrow knobs. There’s a nice vintage patina throughout the guitar, A couple surface scratches but nothing major. Body size is 17 x 2.3/4. The case is in good condition. Some scrapes on the outside but very sturdy. Send me a message if interested or want more pics/info. Pickup is always welcome. Sorry, I won't ship international. Continental US only. Shipping will be . More pictures available if needed.
