    Description

    Original Civil War Jew's/mouth harp.  A simple time and a simple instrument that kept troops entertained.  It was place in the mouth and the small extension was plucked.  Opening the mouth slightly would change the tone.  Measures 3-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inches.   Condition is as pictured.  White metal variant.  The reference is from Lord's Encyclopedia both a dug and non-dug examples.  Would display nicely in a Civil War "smalls" collection.
