This is a 1961 Kay Copper Top Style Leader and it is the top-of-the-line 3 pickup model with original copper pickguard, original pickups and tailpiece... in fact, it's all original with the only exception being the tuning keys, which were changed before we acquired it, probably because the original tuning keys were not as good as these.
This monster has individual volume and tone control for each pickup, and a 5-way rotary that allows each pickup alone, and any combination of two for endless tonal options.
This one is in pretty great shape for its age, and includes a hard case.
The action is very nice, and it is a very comfortable guitar, especially compared to other vintage guitars of the era.
These beauties are hard to find and are steadily climbing in value.
