RARE CIVIL WAR ERA PAIR OF OFFICER'S / CAVALRY BOOTS FROM SHIELD MUSEUM - GETTYSBURGÂ WITH OLD INVENTORY MARKS AND NUMBERS - EACH BOOT MEASURES 10" LONG BY 3" BY 12" TALL - BLACK LEATHER - NAILED BOTTOMS - LEATHER IS FAIRLY SUPPLE - ONE HAS SMALL REPAIR PATCH ON THE INSIDE ANKLE AREA AND BREAK IN LEATHER ON THE HEEL - THE OTHER HAS SIGNIFICANCE DAMAGE ON THE OUTSIDE EDGE AND TOE AREA - AND A MINOR BREAK NEAR THE TOP INSIDE - GOOD CONDITION - THE OLD SHEILD MUSEUM HOUSED MANY RELICS PICKED UP FROM THE BATTLEFIELD BY LOCALS - GREAT EXAMPLES OF SOME OF THE FOOTWEAR USED BY THE ARMIES DURING THE EPIC BATTLE - NO SPECIFIC HISTORY IS KNOWN WHERE THE BOOTS WERE FOUND ON THE BATTLEFIELD - SEE PHOTOS
