    Description

This is a cancelled check, signed by singer Rudy Vallee,
and also signed by either musician Bennie Krueger,
or his wife Jeannie Krueger, or possibly by both of them.
    Rudy Vallee
(1901-1986) was a very popular singer who also had a
successful career as an actor in movies. Vallee is usually considered
to be the first "teen idol" pop singer, and thus can be said to have had
a major influence on popular culture.
The check is signed by Rudy Vallee, and has his name printed on it.
The check is dated May 23, 1935, and is for
    .00.
The check was made out to
    Benny Krueger
    (1899-1967),
a notable musician whose first name was also spelled "
    Bennie
    ".
Krueger played saxophone and clarinet, and was also
a songwriter and bandleader. He was one of the
    first
jazz saxophonists to make a jazz recording.
The check on the back has two handwritten names:
Bennie Krueger and Jeannie J. Krueger. I presume
that Jeannie Krueger was Bennie's wife, although I
have not found any confirmation of that info online.
I cannot say with certainty whether the check was
signed by Bennie, by his wife, or by both of them.
The check is in very good condition.
