Description
VINCENT LOPEZ(1895-1975) Musician and bandleader, he worked occasionally in
feature films, notably "The Big Broadcast" (1932) and as a live-action
feature in the Max Fleischer cartoon "I Don't Want to Make History" (1936).
In 1940, he was one of the very first bandleaders to work in Soundies
movie musicals. Vintage 8-3/4 x 14-1/2 luncheon menu from the Hotel Taft,
New York, featuring Vincent Lopez and his orchestra, signed in pencil on
the cover, one horizontal fold, very good. The menu is dated 1943, with a
glass of Riesling for 30 cents, and Lobster for .00!!
