    WWII Battle of the Bulge, Bastogne "NUTS" Commemorative Brass Plaque. Depicting General McAuliffe's "Nuts" response to the nazi's demand for surrender. December 1944 101st Airborne insignia at the top and paratrooper in the center. 5-5/8" diameter brass relief plaque in very nice original condition as shown. Said to have been cast from the hundreds of thousands of shell casings left on the battlefield, this early casting has very sharp features. excellent
